A dancer's quickest and surest way of developing coordination and rhythmic ability is through the study of tap. Tap dancing is certainly America's most popular form of theater dance. | Jazz
Jazz is more rhythmic, free and emotional than modern dance. It is less restricted less classical, and less academic than ballet. It draws on all other forms of dance technique, blending them in clean, rhythmic, unwasted movement. Ballet and tap form a good background for the eventual study of jazz. Acrobatics
Basic tumbling skills will be acquired as flexibility and strength is developed through acrobatics. The minimum age for students to begin acrobatics training is five. Ballet must accompany acrobatics class. Leotard, footless tights and hair pulled away from face and neck is required for all acrobatics class.
Hip Hop
Hip Hop classes encourage freestyle movement as well as teaches choreography and stunts to dancers. The minimum age for students to begin acrobatics training is seven. Ballet must accompany hip hop class. Leotard and tights are required for all hip hop class, cover-ups are encouraged.
Mini, Pettite and Dance Company
These are choreography classes for 1st graders through seniors. These dancers train to develop teamwork and independent responsibility. Preparation for community performances is one of the main objectives. Leotard, tights, jazz shoes and hair pulled away from face and neck is required for all dance company rehearsals.
Creative Movement & Tumbling
Children explore movement through music, develop physical skills, channel energy, stimulate imagination and promote creativity in our creative movement class. The minimum age for students to begin is two. Loose clothing is required to allow students to move freely.
